L'Erocia 2012

A Heroic Day!

Thank you to all participants who made the 2012 Heroic Bike Race another terrific day! A Recap and Results page (and hopefully, some pictures) will be posted in the next day or two. 

Park Directions

For those of you traveling down Hwy 52 from the Twin Cities on Saturday: Don't make the mistake of taking the wrong exit for Byllesby Park.  The exit sign you see for "Lake Byllesby Park" is the county park.  That is the wrong one!  Make sure you ignore that exit sign and travel all the way down to the Hwy 19 exit at Cannon Falls and then turn right.  About a mile down the road you will see the park on your right.

Looks like "Heroic" weather for Saturday.  Come prepared! 

The Details

A reminder to all registered participants to review the 2012 Information page. This page covers all the major details concerning the event.  Feel free to contact the race director with any questions you may have concerning your particpation in the event.  Be advise you will be required to sign an Acknowledgement and Waiver prior to the start that reads as follows:

I acknowledge that by participating in “The Heroic” I do so entirely at my own risk and undertake sole responsibility for my well-being.  I fully understand the event has no responsibility for my safety or for any other risks associated with my participation, and will provide no support to me while involved in this event.   I pledge to conduct myself safely at all times and to participate within my physical capabilities and skill level.

The Course Map "Cue Sheet"

Please be aware the cue sheet for the Heroic route (Heroic Take 1) on Map My Ride contains errors on several turn directions.  It's a glitch that Map My Ride has not corrected or explained adequately.  There will be accurate "cue sheets" for the course for you at check-in and the course will be well-marked.

Registration Update

There are just a few entries remaining for this year's Heroic.  Please email me with your name and  mailing address if you still want to attend. 
*Any names that do not make the entry list this year will carry over to next year*

Registration

Entries for this year's Heroic are available beginning September 6th, 2012.  If you would like a chance to participate in this year's event, please email your name and home address to the director at lewskimn@yahoo.com.  A list will be compiled on a first-come first-serve basis.  A registration card is necessary for you to participate and the event is limited.  A registration card will be mailed to you if an entry becomes available.  Thank you.
